When it began to snow I headed straight for Safeway. Not because I thought the sidewalks would be bad later, but because I know from experience driving will be bad later.

For future reference... one of the reasons 850 Sligo Avenue has such an ice problem is because the sidewalk is in the almost-constant shade of a tall building. The surface here nver heats-up. Even today, you can see where the snow only sticks in this one spot.
