The "Sidewalk Closed" sign in this string of photos is a fake. The sidewalk beyond this sign is open - completely and utterly open. This sign was obviously just left here to provide incorrect information to pedestrians for - well, who knows how long? This is another reason pedestrians ignore these stupid signs.
